Prompted to read after having recently watched the film adaptation. Always interesting to see how two versions of the same story can vary. Despite clearly knowing the outcome of the plot, it remains highly impressive (per Sherlock or other good detectives) how small clues can cumulatively lead to the correct conclusion. The plot is very heavy on coincidence, many people present would have had a plausible motive, but somehow this doesn't matter. The joy is in the tension (and here two subsequent murders after the initial one), the construction and the ultimate reveal. Seven out of ten.
